What is go for jobs?

The Highways Agency has put a block on developments in key areas of the North East that threatens £1bn of
 investment and 10,000 jobs.

The Go For Jobs campaign aims to reverse this negative stance to enable the ongoing economic growth of the North East.
It also demands the Government invests in vital road improvements to give this region a transport system fit for the 21st century.

The campaign - jointly run by the North East Chamber of Commerce, the Journal and the Evening Gazette newspapers - requires
the support of everyone in the region who cares about the need for new jobs, new opportunities and new developments that will
continue to make this region a fantastic place to live and to work.
